Citadel Theatre : Citadel theatre is located in the heart of downtown and is hard to miss. It is a shining building of glass with a striking central block. There are five theatres within: the Shoctor (685 seats), the semicircular Maclab (686 seats), and the "black box" Rice (200 seats), where you will find everything from contemporary plays to classical Shakespeare. There is also the Metro Cinema (in the Zeidler Hall), Tucker Amphitheatre, Lee Pavilion, Foote Theatre School, Kidsplay children's theatre and three multi-function rooms available for rental. For staying in Edmonton select only hotels in Edmonton.
City of Edmonton Archives: As well as housing current and past government records, this centre holds a large collection of historical photographs, a variety of manuscripts, and documents donated by organizations that have contributed to the social history of the city. You may wish to visit for research purposes or just to obtain a better perspective of edmonton’s past. The building can be found north of downtown, just south of the royal alexendra hospital
